Siena-Area Fire Station UPDATE

Today I have an update for Siena area residents about the fire-station that is to be built in the area. You can read all of the initial details about the future Station #3 with Hutto Fire Rescue here in my previous post.

Station #2 was completed south of US 79 off FM 1660 in 2019 and the focus of the department and the city shifted to the proposed Station #3 in the Siena area. According to the most recent news from Chief Scott Kerwood, the development for Station #3 is currently in the architect phase. As I reported earlier, this station was supposed to use the exact same blueprints as Station #2, but it looks like those plans might have changed slightly.

The official location for Station #3 was never disclosed and it looks like that is still up in the air. Hutto ISD had donated land for the station near the new Kerley Elementary School but I’m sure that location would provide some logistics issues. According to Kerwood, the final site could end up right on Limmer Loop.

Like the other stations, Station #3 will be built with space for Williamson County EMS to manage an ambulance from one of the bays but ultimately WILCO will have to decide to fill and staff that service.

Here are some pictures of the plans and layouts for Station #2 and should be a fair representation of what to expect from Station #3.
