Siena’s brand new elementary school, Benjamin “Doc” Kerley Elementary (Kerley Elementary or “KES” for short), will be hosting a dedication ceremony at its campus on August 1st at 5:00 PM. Many members of Doc Kerley’s family will be at the event along with Hutto ISD personel and community members. This event is open to the entire Siena Round Rock community and the public.
After the dedication ceremony, there will be a campus preview from 5:30-7:00 PM so people can tour the new facility. I can say that from what I’ve seen so far of the inside of the school, you can expect to be very impressed – I was!
Final cleaning, landscaping and touch-ups will be completed in time for the school to open for the 2019-2020 school year. “Meet the teacher” night will be Monday, August 12, 6:00-7:00 PM.

Kerley’s first principal, Kyle Ruggirello, is leading the efforts to finish everything at the school and preparing the staff for the new school year. Ms. Ruggirello has served in education for 24 years – the last 20 years in Hutto ISD – and was the principal of Cottonwood Creek Elementary since 2014.
